Android vs. iOS
This has been a heated debate since the creation of the iPhone, and has many people caught in the middle of what device they want to buy. Well, im here to give my (somewhat informed yet biased) opinion on it. A lot of good info can be read here, but who has time to read through all of that? One thing that i feel is great about droids is their variety. There are so many different sizes, models, brands, and variations that it is rare you see the same design twice. Whereas apple has one line, and you get to pick which model you want, the 3g, 4, 4s, or 5. Not to mention that their older models barely get any support anymore because apple wants you to upgrade. A lot of droids offer more processing power, memory, etc than the iPhones, simply because more companies are able to make and perfect them. However, with droid you get what you pay for. It is easy to see a cheap droid and think hey what a deal! But, a lot of the cheaper droids are not very good and often run like garbage after a few months(formerly own a samsung instinct, samsung intercept) but if you spend just a little extra(about what you would spend on an iPhone) you get a great phone that will last the long haul(owned an HTV Evo 4G, now own a Samsung Galaxy S3) The droid marketplace has an emphasis on free apps, but compatibility is a problem for some older phones once the droid OS updates. And here we come to customization. Im the type of guy that prefers complete control over nearly every part of my phone, whether it be the look of my home screen, my menu look, etc. With iOS, you are stuck to one type of home screen, menu whatever. I prefer customization, but some people prefer the simplicity of the iOS. The choice is yours, and i can only give my opinion, that being droid is much better for people who know what they;re doing and looking to completely control there phone, and the iPhone is for people who dont really care about that and just want something simple to fiddle around on. The picture below are the iPhone 5S compared to the 5, and the Galaxy S3 compared to the S4.
